Trivium Detroit Concert reviews
Clapton was forgettable - can't believe it..
ZZ Ward was the warm up. He just kind of strolled on stage and started playing, truly Slowhand style - effortless. I didn't pay much attention to her - Trivium was on my "bucket list" and I as there to see him. After about an hour and a half - he just left the stage. Then he came back for his encore - one song. It was well over a half hour later, and then:
He even played a couple of songs that weren't "his". Just slow, easy versions of several songs. If not for the words, I don't think I would have recognized Layla - or Cocaine... I KNEW this was just up to the break, then he'd come back with a REAL show the classics... He didn't. Not at all what I expected...I give two stars just because it WAS Trivium. ZZ Ward put on a much better show than he did.
